Armed & Dangerous

Greetings.

This is a little overdue, but since my blog has lacked much activity in recent times i guess it really doesn't matter. Last Friday, a bunch of ex-sam-er's decided to try somethin a little different from the usual movie.

And it was rather interesting how everybody managed to think about this little activity all at the same time. So it was settled that we'd all head to Extreme Park since the other place was fully booked for...

PAINTBALL!!!

And what a great game it turned out to be=) And No.. It's not a game for the faint hearted but then again, a team consisting 2 girls managed to beat a team with 5 guys.

hmmm... Maybe cause we're good!

Anyways, Just before the game...

Yea, all big and smiley up until now..

Team B; Fai, CK, Jessie, Kim, Ghee, and yours truly=)

...Raaaa! No mercy from now on.

Let the bettle begin..

Finally, after much pain, fatigue, sweat, and 700+ bullets, Team B emerge from the game as the champions. Winning 2 out of 3 rounds.

Kwee from Team A proved quite a formidable force as he constantly ran to the front gun's a blazin. LITERALLY! He was scary, and pretty elusive as he managed to dodge bullets pretty well.

Sadly, i couldn't get a single person shot. I guess i'm just compassionate. But hey, i captured 2 flags!

After the sweat bath we produced to something more familiar to the typical malaysian. reckless driving! i mean go-karting

At rm10 for 8 laps it was a pretty good deal, especially when you have the fastest cart on track, even better. I managed to finish a whole 2 laps ahead of Jessie, who defended herself by saying she was first?

Being the gentlemen, i allowed her to dwell in her delusion and offered her a place next to me on the podium.

Alas, tht was 2 weeks ago. I actually started this post 2 weeks ago but only finishing up today. how nice. I'm a procrastinator.

Have A nice Day!

Blogging on Educational Grounds

Greetings...

Alas some activity! weeee...
albeit a brief one.

Currently in the lab with Tim and Sean both working 'oh-so-frantically-while bombing-and-staring-at-car-websites' to try to get our Marketing presentation for tmrw done.

Obviously our wonderful night at Sean's last night wasn't tht productive considering the amount of work still to go. But heck it was good fun.

Really good fun.. In the words of Marco, we gave him the best 5 minutes of his life.

We shall not elaborate.

Anyways, have A Nice Day.

ps. expect little to no updates for a long time. stress level pretty high=) Ahhh.. the joys of assigments.

Disciplinery Action

My jazz fest weekend finally draws to a close until next week at least. It has been one of the best inspirational, eye opening and entertaining musical show i've seen.

It kicked off on Friday night with CFE's farewell gig. It was another great gig and its really sad to see them disband just like that. They were to me inspirational at the very least not just for their musical style but also their energy. Jupiter@7 proceeded CFE but it was rather sad they didn't receive the same rousing support CFE got. But they were good nonetheless although not at their best.

But tonights affair was the bomb. I'm not a fan of Shelley Leong so i guess i shouldn't say further. But Funk Mob was on a completely different level. Every single year they've managed to get the crowd asking for more. I just so want to be like them. Haha=)

Obviously its a far cry, cause i've never had the discipline to practice as hard as say John T. So I can't complain. But it's really creeping up on me that there are just so many things in my life that i have left unattended to. Stuff which i had persistently told myself i wanted to achieve.

I told myself that i'll practice hard to be a good drummer when i first started. Look at me now? A dissapointment. Grrrr...

I need discipline!

I've got all the equipment i need, i just need to put it into practice. So simple eh? I get distracted to easily its almost makes me wanna puke.

Oh well.. I've got till the end of the year as my personal target. Hopefully i'll check back on this post in December and look back at this as THE turning point.

On another note, i've got John Thomas's number if i want to get classes. Of which i'm really tempted to get. Hmmmm... Discipline! Must complete grade 8 drums first!!

This is the end of whiny post.

Have A Nice Day.

12 Lemons, Not 3 Lemons

Another movie, another bootlegged copy.

And i blamed all this on Josh for introducing me to the magic of Ares.

But yea, the movie industry is doing pretty well i supposed or maybe not thats why stars are going to Namibia or some African country no? Oh well, so i'm guilty of deprieving these people of maybe 2 million in their long list of zero's.

Heck, i just watched the Break-Up. It's scary, it should be labelled with a warning for excessive horror. Despite its horror in depicting the female wrath, it was educational as well. Oh yup it did... The message was big, really big... and simple. Don't mess with the females.

Have you ever wondered why there are no women in charge of Defense in any country on earth?

Now, you know why.

And they blame us men for our big egos which ultimately result in the wars our world have experienced and will continue to experience. No seriously, can you imagine if a all defense secretaries/ministers were females? Country A would go into some UN summit sit there minding her own business maybe flash her big diamond ring letting glitter or maybe some other country say, country B decides to jump the Queue at the toilet?

Ho boy, The bitch stares would come up. It basically starts with one and knowing women they pick up allegiances pretty easily. Next thing you know China and Africa are best friend's staring at Saudi saying Saudi jumped Q.

China (in canto): "Sak Sei Hei"
Saudi: ... ?

Africa: !Bele

...That was lame.

But really, watching the movie the Break-Up just serve to highlight how much men really don't understand women. I am a male chauvinist, i know i am.. Not good, but admit it guys. All of us think we can drive better then our girlfriends/ female friends and we should always be at the wheel to avoid any catasrophe should the latter be driving. Hah.. I'm not alone. (Thats unless you're Marc who williingly offers to be passenger with his girlfriend..)

Anyways, as big a chauvinist as i am i couldn't help but feel the character Gary in the movie deserved it for treating Brooke (Aniston) that way. Although towards the end the character thing was somewhat adjusted to feel like Gary was sorta insecure for a lack of better words in my vocabulary.

But honestly, It's just quite hard don't you think when you're faced with the 'I want you to do it cause YOU WANT to do it, not cause i asked' drama as potrayed in the movie. Face it, guys are practical. A rock is a rock. It's not a piece of art.

...Although it can be. But i'll leave that aside for now. best to stay on topic.

I just felt really bad thinking of the amount of stress/ aguish/ sadness/(insert mental torment here) I may have cause Shu-Wen because of my insensitivity. But i do believe i speak for all guys when i say, i/we really didn't know there were 2 meanings to what we were doing/saying or what you meant.

Of course, I'll learn... Slowly.

I've learned somethin though after reading an understanding man and woman book.

The Problem

Woman will always ask which dress should they wear and subsequently produce 2 outfits. Now this is a most of the time a lose-lose situation if you actually pick a dress. Cause then the woman would ask you why not wear the other one.

At this junture the guy would say cause you think the other is nicer/ or you look good in the other one. If you say so, she'll ask why isn't the other one nice or if you ask the latter prepare for doom. She'll ask why doesn't she look good in the other dress and this basically the kiss of death. You can forget about getting out of this alive.

The Solution

The Woman will expect the guy to choose a particular dress and subsequently question the guy regarding the latter. To avoid this, answer "Which one did you have in mind?". The woman is usually taken aback at this juncture as she was caught unaware.

The point behind this is, she already has in mind which dress she's gonna wear. She just wants an approval. She will then say which dress she had in mind and bingo!

Just top that of with "You look lovely in that" or "I was thinking the same thing. You'll look stunning"

There problem solved. A stress free evening is 1/3 on the way.

I've tried it personally. It works=)
... It also means Shu-Wen won't be trusting me much anymore. hmmmm.
Oh well, all in good fun!

No clue? Watch the movie The Break Up and you'll get what i mean regarding the so called oppinion that the female kind usually want to get an idea.

Have A Nice Day
