Disciplinery Action
My jazz fest weekend finally draws to a close until next week at least. It has been one of the best inspirational, eye opening and entertaining musical show i've seen.
It kicked off on Friday night with CFE's farewell gig. It was another great gig and its really sad to see them disband just like that. They were to me inspirational at the very least not just for their musical style but also their energy. Jupiter@7 proceeded CFE but it was rather sad they didn't receive the same rousing support CFE got. But they were good nonetheless although not at their best.
But tonights affair was the bomb. I'm not a fan of Shelley Leong so i guess i shouldn't say further. But Funk Mob was on a completely different level. Every single year they've managed to get the crowd asking for more. I just so want to be like them. Haha=)
Obviously its a far cry, cause i've never had the discipline to practice as hard as say John T. So I can't complain. But it's really creeping up on me that there are just so many things in my life that i have left unattended to. Stuff which i had persistently told myself i wanted to achieve.
I told myself that i'll practice hard to be a good drummer when i first started. Look at me now? A dissapointment. Grrrr...
I need discipline!
I've got all the equipment i need, i just need to put it into practice. So simple eh? I get distracted to easily its almost makes me wanna puke.
Oh well.. I've got till the end of the year as my personal target. Hopefully i'll check back on this post in December and look back at this as THE turning point.
On another note, i've got John Thomas's number if i want to get classes. Of which i'm really tempted to get. Hmmmm... Discipline! Must complete grade 8 drums first!!
