Do you want that in return?

Good Day..

One of the principles that i've always kept throughout the years may come across as simple yet extremely profound. Sometime back in my old church whereby the former youth pastor asked what was the golden rule of the bible that i learnt this principle. How it has stuck with me till now.

"Do unto others what you want other to do unto you".

I was just thinking about it in college.

Once my mom was watching The Apprentice and was relating to me an incident on it whereby another group masqueraded as another to get the microphones required to complete their task when the other group were the ones who had placed the order. Rather then frown upon it, Donald Trump actually applauded them for their quick thinking.

You know, it's really just so easy to think about everything from your own perspective. To get or to do anything for your own benefit is always a justified act in your eyes and to a certain extent the world's eyes.

Donald Trump likens such actions as "it's not personal, it's just business".

But do we stop and ponder, what would it be like if we were on the receiving end of such actions. Would you be happy? Sure it's business you may say, but at the end of the day what do you gain? More money? another deal? Fame?

Something i learned a couple of years back at CG Retreat was to write the inscriptions on your own tomb stone. That really opened my eyes. You'd never see a tombstone glorifying a person's success in making money but rather the person as a human being to everybody else.

Sean Convey in his book "The seven habits of highly effective people" thought us to "Think Win-Win". What it meant was always ensure there were no losing sides in anything. Because if you thought "Win-Lose", either way you'd still lose.

Just a passing shot; If you can do it to him, he can do it to you too.

Have A Nice Day.

"I hope you finally see what you're doing wrong.."
