Humans Need Sleep!
Good Morning.
It's Thursday! TGIT=)
Thursdays are my free days! Only thing mom now wants me to help out at the office on thursday. Oh well, makes me feel a tad bit better since Shu-Wen's heavist day is coincidentally Thursday.
Anyways, i'm here to ramble on about the Need For Sleep!
Waking up at 3am to go to whichever mamak to watch a dull affair between Arsenal and Madrid or the rather pathetic loss of Liverpool to Benfica is pure insanity. Although Bak Kut Teh did trigger the senses..
Hmmm...
Anyways, golf was alright this morning. Hit a couple of fairways but still mostly wayward shots and then came 1 momment of glory. Par 4, 330 m... hit a drive of abt 180m and took at 7 iron from there. almost made birdie!! had the ball not lipped out. Bugger... Everything else went downhill from there.
But you wanna know whats brilliant, i woke up at 6 to get ready for golf and merely half an hour before my sister came home from work. At 5:30 am! she came the previous day at 5am! How insane is that? And she leaves for work at 8+ every bloody day!
I mean how much sleep are you gonna deprive out of that poor girl?! 'Thats Audit' is what she'd usually say, but heck don't they have labour laws in this country? by the looks of it, there's none since her co-workers slog through just as much as her. And after 2 days of pure insane slave labour she manages to get an extra half hour at home before trudging back to work at 9:30.
Is that worth it?
I feel its a huge price to pay for so called 'initial hardship before i'm a qualified accountant'. But she's only got another half year to go since she was brilliant enough to go for 2 subjects a year and still ace them. she studies a month before the exams and still does well...
hmmm...i study 6 months before and i'm mediocre. Anyways, soon she should be able to leave tht shit hole they call an audit firm. (see why i hate accounts?) Even my parents are so worried that they keep persuading her to quit. My dad practically stays up waiting everytime my sister comes home after midnight.
But really, you go to a prestigious Uni, Melbourne Uni. Ace your entire final year subjects with H1D's and you come home with a nice certificate. An obscence amount of money spent which could rather well buy you a new decent home and you're brimming with confidence. Then you get employed and you're paid pittence.
Thats sad..
Haha, i'm rambling cause i just feel its really unfair for my sister to work so much.
oh well..
Sean demanded that i meantion him. So i will. The guy with the slightly 'off-centre' thinking actually allowed me to drive his manual car at lakeview (Marc is prolly laughing right now..he likens my manual driving to riding a horse). And a horse ride it was! seriously, the car jerked all around just like in those wild west movies. Clint Eastwood style minus the guns and cigars.
Y'know i'm really enjoying metro! Partly cause Danker keeps giving controversial suggestions in class. tsk tsk and Sean with his rather sadistic sexual abuse ideas in law.
Maybe one day when he gets his 'wahyu' he'll be guest blogging in here...
On second thought...
oh well, meeting Josh tmrw. maybe Go-Karting before. Collect Spm certs!
Have a nice day.
