Round and round the 'Merry go Round'...
Finally an entry!!
Things should be going according to plan.
Sign up for Uni, go to Uni, go for orientation, start Classes on Monday...
Apparently not.
I happily signed up for Metropolitan College cause it was the only private institution which would allow me to twin with Curtin and above all Curtin is one of the few universities in Australia that actually offer a property major. A property major which is recognised by the Malaysian Board! Wanting to be certain of Curtin i actually mailed and called the board for confirmation that Curtin was recognised by them. And so with that in mind i took up the metro option.
Come orientation day itself and i receive an email from the board saying that the degree offered by Curtin is yet to be accredited by the board due to some paperwork in which Curtin has yet to agree upon. Great!
Splendid!
Now what...
Sigh...which leaves me with the appoinment i'll be going to later in the day with Metro's Curtin Director. She actually told me a possible sollution was to send me to RMIT. Now somethin i'm keen about. 4 long years compared to Curtin's 3! And of course....No Shu-Wen!!!
Anyways thats tht..
Of course now comes the ultimate pain in the ass.
I was looking for a parking lot in Carrefour in subang jaya earlier while waiting for my mom to complete her physio. It was terrible i tell you...the number of cars there just cause it's a friday and thus the extended lunch hour. So i finally car ready to leave after 15 minutes of lookin. Like any good driver, i turn on my signal light. A beige Kia Spectra comes into view and stops. I figure it's just stopping to let the car continue it's reverse.
...Nice Man
Car reverses out. Spectra drives in!
WHAT?????!!!!
Spectra just stole my parking!
I banged the horn with my right hand. Not wise since i already ripped ligaments in it. so it wasn't actually feeling great after i hit the horn so hard.
The accused leaves his car with his friend and proceeds to walk to my car. I wind down the window and say "i was witing here first!"
Accused Driver: Whats the problem? whats the problem? ( in crude cantonese tone and gives me a rather irritated glare)
Me: You stole my parking! thats the problem! (in english)
Accused Driver: What ah? (in cantonese, i now realised this man can't speak english...*sigh*)
Accused Driver's Friend: Lets not make a scence. Lets just leave it as it is and why don't you find another lot. ( He proceeds to pat me on the shoulder while his friend continues his glare)
Me: BUT YOU STOLE MY PARKING AND YOU TELL ME TO FIND ANOTHER LOT JUST CAUSE YOU STOLE MY DAMN PARKING?? (In my very broken cantonese...okay, maybe the sentence wasn't so nicely phrased. But it somewhere along those lines)
Accused Driver: *gives another glare and snorts* and walks off...
Y'know, i would have easily said well okay sure have the parking if you would have apologized and not glare at me irritably! When will people ever learn that a gentle act of civic sense and courtesy goues a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way??
Bah..
Anyways..time to go for my meeting with the Curtin Lady.
