The Working Life..

I'm leaving soon. On the 8th to be precise. Can't believe it's only next week.
Getting really excited cause well, ever since my sister set up camp in melbourne 5 years ago i've always dreamed of living overseas on my own. It's been 2 years since she came back and i'm finally going. Can't really complain since i actually decided to stay here for another year.

But y'see everything happens for a reason.
The past year has been awesome. I know i keep saying that but really it's been nothing short of eventful.

For starters, it was the year i actually got a real (sorta.) job which paid more then 1K. While i now think the pay is crap for the amount of labour we put in, i can't help but to recognize the fact it was really really a great experience.

Driving around in a manual Kia Pregio, A Manual! i don't even drive a manual car let alone a van but it went surprisingly albeit for some minor hiccups. We went around Klang Valley promoting Maxis TV under the blazing sun and getting rejected by people who think we're begging.

desperate times called for desperate measures..

That actually thought us to be more resilient and proactive, it thought us to just carry on and approach anybody regardless if they cared to listen or even show any sign of interest. That was somethin Sean did particularly well.

Carrying a well known brand like Maxis we were constantly reminded that image was of utmost importance. And thus another lesson was learnt, looking prim and proper no matter how tough the job.

But being on the road and under the blazing heat meant no matter how hard we tried, we always couldn't fight the unwanted odour.

But apart from that we also learned that sometimes working isn't really all work and no play.

But then again, those days don't come often.

And finally we've also learned to to take work home with us. Much like how Coke used to say Makan Bola, Tidur Bola.. etc etc. It's pretty similar, you get the drift.

Despite our constant gripping, i think it was one of the most memorable things of 2006 for me. If it wasn't for Maxis TV i wouldn't have converted Sean to a similar train of thought about relationships=)

Heck, i remember we could even play futsal at midnight after working our sweaty asses of the whole day! Then maybe sneak in for movies while on the job with some free pop corn and coke thrown in the mix.

Ahh, it was a good working year.

Have A Nice Day.
